SUMMARY:Power Wheels Jr. Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we host our 2nd annual Power Wheels Jr. Rally! Children ages 3-8 are invited to bring their personal Power Wheel (or borrow a WCPR Power Wheel) and compete in a friendly race! The competition will be divided into two age classes ages\, 3-5 and 6-8 competing separately. Trophies will be awarded for 1st 2nd & 3rd place for both age classes. \nCost is $20 per racer and free for all others to attended\, so be sure to bring your “PIT CREW” to cheer your racer on to victory! All registered participants will start their morning with “Inspections” where our mechanics will verify that there have been no engine modifications. \n“Inspections” will begin at 9:00am followed by the first race at 10:30am! Registered Power Wheels must be original stock vehicles (12V battery) with no modified batteries. Helmets are required for participation.\nSAFETY GEAR & ATTIRE: Participants will be required to wear at a minimum\, a bicycle helmet\, tennis shoes or boots. Flip Flops\, sandals or open toe footwear is NOT allowed. \nREGISTRATION: Pre-registration for race is required. We are unable to accept on-site/day of registrations. \nVEHICLES\n• Stock Power Wheels only.\n• Driver’s body must be fully contained in the vehicles. Vehicles where the legs are on the outside (4-Wheelers) are not allowed. Must be a sit in vehicle – NOT a sit on vehicle ; Ride in not ride on vehicle\n• Only 12V batteries designed for power wheels vehicles allowed.\n• Traction devices or studs are NOT allowed in tires.\n• NO bumpers\, weights or anything to reinforce the vehicle is allowed. \nCLASSES\n• 3 to 5 year old’s\n• 6 to 8 year old’s\n• We will run heats – 5 to 6 vehicles at a time. Placing in heats determines when they will race again. Each child is guaranteed two races. Races will continue until we have 6 racers left who will then compete in the Feature. \n*All registration cancellations must be submitted in writing no later than 72hrs. prior to the start of this event. No credits or transfers will be processed less than 72.hrs before the date this event is scheduled to happen.

SUMMARY:First Annual Academy Park Acoustic Fest
DESCRIPTION:The Williamson County Performing Arts Center is excited to announce our first Acoustic Fest to be held on the Academy Park Courtyard just outside the theater in Franklin\, TN. This year’s fest will feature a range of talent\, from local up-and-coming performers to 50-year veterans in the music business. \n6:00pm: us two and him\nThe evening kicks off at 6pm with us two and him\, a local bluegrass trio consisting of brothers Jim and John Rickman (“us two”) and Phil Comstock (“him”). These three close buddies have been telling stories and harmonizing together for five decades. They have appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage\, “The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree\,” “Nashville Gospel Show\,” WSM’s “Bill Cody in the Morning” radio show\, and for many years they were semi-regulars on Nashville’s “The Ralph Emery Show.” \n7:00pm: Jay Rin\nAt 7pm\, we welcome Jay Rin\, soulful ‘Rockicana’ singer-songwriter originally from Whittier\, CA and graduate of Belmont University 2017. She has been featured on Knoxville’s WDVX\, Murfreesboro’s WMOT\, and Los Angeles’ KLOS after the release of her debut 2023 album “Fool on the Fringe.” Jay Rin is a full time performing artist and also spends her time as the ‘John Lennon’ in the internationally touring all female Beatles tribute – Penny Lane. \n8:00pm: Jim & Valerie Gabehart\nHusband and wife team\, Jim & Valerie Gabehart\, who have also been musical partners for 29 years\, will be our featured entertainers at 8pm. Recent transplants to Tennessee from the hills of West Virginia\, Jim is a 5-time West Virginia State Champion banjo player\, and Valerie is a dynamic bluegrass vocalist! They will be joined by their daughter\, Amy Taylor on guitar\, and Corey Hensley on bass. \n9:00pm: Mike Dunbar\nClosing out the evening at 9pm is songwriter and performing artist Mike Dunbar. A New England native\, Mike’s music is equal parts Paul Simon and Tom Petty\, blending lyrical depth with a rock-and-roll attitude. His work has been featured in the Boston Globe as well as on Nashville’s Lightning 100\, Channel 4’s Today in Nashville\, Boston’s The River\, and New Hampshire Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.” \nGrab your lawn chair and come support these fine musicians at this inaugural event! \nSaturday June 15th from 6:00 – 10:00pm \nGeneral Admission: $10
