SUMMARY:Healing Housing's 7th Annual Love Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Healing Housing\, a nonprofit residential recovery program serving women with limited resources throughout Middle Tennessee who are healing from addiction\, is hosting their 7th annual Love Breakfast fundraiser! The breakfast will be held at The Brentwood United Methodist Church on April 25th from 7:45 – 9:00 a.m. Healing Housing provides a stable home and extensive support services\, rooted in love\, acceptance and the power of community\, to women transitioning from drug and alcohol treatment. We partner with local professionals\, agencies and nonprofits to leverage the collective resources of our wonderful community so we can better help women healing from addiction continue to thrive. The women we serve are without financial resources\, employment\, health insurance or relationships to support them\, and the annual Love Breakfast is vital in allowing us to continue this important work. \n2023 LOVE BREAKFAST is themed Hand in Hand and will spotlight Healing Housing’s vital relationships as well as those critical to our graduates as they move back into the community. We will examine the bonds that help them—and each one of us—make it through difficult times to find hope and experience growth. \nThis year promises to be extra special with gifted artist\, activist and music therapist Kyshona as the keynote speaker and performer. With a powerful presence\, insight as a music therapist\, and personal experience working with the women of Healing Housing\, Kyshona promises to educate and inspire.\nA special documentary will premiere at Hand in Hand\, following women as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of life after Healing Housing. \nDetails: Event is free. Reservation is required. Tickets available for the public April 17th.\nBreakfast served.

SUMMARY:WCPR’s Rising Stars present Disney’s and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR.
DESCRIPTION:The Rising Stars winter production for 2022-2023 will be Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR\, based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2\,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.” \nFour Performances will be March 24-26 at the College Grove Artsitorium in College Grove\, Tennessee. Performances will be 7pm on Friday\, 2pm and 7pm on Saturday\, and 2pm on Sunday. \nNote: The 2pm performance on Saturday\, March 25th will be a sensory/family friendly performance. This performance will include:\n• Lower sound level\n• Reduction of loud\, startling or jarring sounds\n• House lights on at a low level in the theatre during the performance\n• A reduction of stage lighting and special effects lighting on stage and on the audience\n• Patrons are free to talk and move around during the performance\n• Please feel free to bring comforting objects\, such as fidget toys and weighted stuffed animals or lap blankets\, as well as noise-reducing headphones.\n• This is a great opportunity for those with sensitivity to sensory input and young children to attend the show in a more comfortable setting.

The jack-of-all trades\, Bert\, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense\, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures\, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect.
