SUMMARY:4th Annual Nashville Angels Open
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, May 20th\, 2024 starting at 1:00 PM \nFranklin Bridge Golf Course \nCome join us for a great day on the course for a great cause! We are so excited to be hosting our 4th Annual Golf Tournament for Nashville Angels. \nProceeds from this event will go directly to Nashville Angels to benefit the children and families involved in the foster care system throughout Middle Tennessee. This is our opportunity to make a difference and have fun\, and we want YOU to be a part of it! \nThe purpose of this event is to not just raise funds for Nashville Angels but to raise awareness about foster care in the community. Nashville Angels is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization that exists to walk alongside children in the foster care system\, as well as their caretakers\, by offering consistent support through intentional giving\, relationship building\, and mentorship. \nWe carry that mission out with two programs: \nTHE LOVE BOX program is a yearlong commitment to a family to create a box filled with different items to provide practical support and encouragement to the family. The boxes are made monthly for the current families involved in the chapter’s program.\nDARE TO DREAM is a one on one mentorship program designed for foster children aged 15-21 years old to help with their transition of life because\, for most of these foster children\, when they turn 18 years old\, they have nowhere to turn with no idea what to do next. Dare to Dream shows these children that someone cares enough to teach and guide them. The goal is that every foster child will be reached.\nIn 2023\, we served 2\,997 children through our national chapters. We are seeing major IMPACT in Middle Tennessee\, and we have a great vision for 2024. We can only carry that vision out with YOU! \nThere are multiple ways you can partner with us for our 4th Annual Golf Tournament. You can join us as a sponsor\, invite your friends and come play\, donate items for the raffle\, or if you can’t attend\, simply make a donation. Every contribution to Nashville Angels counts!

SUMMARY:19 Miles Presents: The Suitcase
DESCRIPTION:In 1942\, Julius Lorsch\, a German Jew\, packed a suitcase and boarded a train bound for Auschwitz. 76 years later\, his suitcase was found in a little antique store in the Czech Republic. This is that story. \n“The Suitcase\,” a musical performance by Tim Lorsch\, Julius’ grand-nephew\, tells a story of hope\, resilience\, and vulnerability. Through the harmonious sounds of classical string instruments\, layers of this story unfold before your very eyes and reveal the depth of the human soul that touches us all.

SUMMARY:Hartzog & Silva PLLC present the Star Bright Players' The Hunchback of Notre Dame
DESCRIPTION:Hartzog & Silva\, PLLC presents the Star Bright Players (ages 12-18) production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame\, a lushly scored retelling of Victor Hugo’s epic story of love\, acceptance and what it means to be a hero. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature\, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score\, as well as new songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel. The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo\, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be “Out There\,” observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker\, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo\, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd\, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman\, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit\, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention\, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.
