DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 5\, 2025\nHike Time 6 – 8 pm \nIf the date you wish to attend is sold out\, you may fill out our waitlist form. \nCost: $18 / person\nAges 12+ only. Minors (ages 12 – 17) must be accompanied by an adult. \nParticipants under the age of 12 will not be admitted to the program and no refunds will be issued. \nGate opens 30 minutes before program start. Program begins promptly at noted time. No late entries. No exceptions. \nPack dinner and arrive early to picnic on the grounds. We are a pack-in/pack-out facility – please plan to take your trash with you. \nCome along on a nighttime adventure! We’ll explore the woods at night by lantern light\, listen for the sounds of nocturnal animals including owls\, coyotes\, crickets and frogs\, and share stories about the history of Owl’s Hill. \nThis program is for adventurers who are looking for a longer hike than our typical evening programs. The route is 1.5 miles of moderately challenging natural surface trail. Participants can expect moderate uphill and downhill hiking as well as areas of uneven terrain. Once the hike departs\, participants are expected to stay with the group for the duration of the hike. \nClosed-toe shoes suitable for hiking are strongly recommended. \nFor the safety and comfort of all participants\, participants are not permitted to carry additional sources of light (headlamps\, flashlights\, etc.). Lanterns will be provided.

Learn how to live in harmony with (and even attract) some of our spookiest\, coolest wildlife. \nNature Conservancy Cave Program Director\, Cory Holliday will be onsite for a special presentation on bats. DESCRIPTION:We’ve set aside program days specifically for Homeschool families\, co-ops and pods to experience hands-on learning at Owl’s Hill. \nFall 2025 Homeschool Programs \nTuesday\, September 30\, 2025\nSuitable for Ages 5+  \nSession I: Meet an Owl 10-11:30 am\nMeet our non-releasable education owls and discover the varied habitats and adaptations of native owls.  \nSession II: Insect Adventure 1-2:30 pm\nDiscover our smallest wildlife and learn about the important roles they play in our ecosystems. \nTuesday\, October 14\, 2025\nSuitable for Ages 5+  \nSession I: Food Webs 10-11:30 am\nThe balance of nature. When you figure out the food chain in an ecosystem\, you can see how the animals\, plants\, and their habitat are connected.  \nSession II: Reptile & Amphibian Discovery 1-2:30 pm\nLearn all about reptile and amphibian characteristics. Meet one of our reptile ambassadors and hit the trail to learn about reptile and amphibian habitats and life cycles. \nCost is $15 per person (student or adult) per session. All-ages programs are designed for children ages 5+. Siblings 2 and under are free. Advance registration is required for all participants (students\, adults and siblings 3 and over). All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. \nNo walk-ups.
