DESCRIPTION:Golf with Mercy to raise funds for Mercy Community Healthcare. This year’s golf outing will be held at Westhaven Golf Club on Monday\, May 18. Registration opens at 7:45am\, shotgun start is at 9am\, and lunch will immediately follow the rounds. \nPlayers raise $5\,500 for their team using a peer-to-peer fundraising model. This means they ask their friends and family to support them at Golf with Mercy. Mercy Community Healthcare must raise approximately $1.5 million each year to sustain its current level of patient care. The cost for one visit for primary medical care or mental health counseling for someone without insurance is $125. The funding raised from Golf with Mercy is designated for general expenses\, so it’s used where help is needed the most.
