He will speak on the topic\, “Peace Is Not the Absence of Conflict\,” a reflection on while increasingly diverse communities will have difficult moments\, even conflict\, peace will not be achieved by trying to eliminate differences but by dealing with differences in ways that are effective\, efficient and respectful.\nBreakfast With the Mayors is presented quarterly by Pinnacle Financial Partners and Gresham Smith\, along with our Sustaining Partners\, Williamson Health and Atmos Energy.\nTo RSVP\, go to https://Nov72023bwtm.eventbrite.com.\nComing to Nashville in 2005\, Lowry had a dramatic influence on both that university and the Nashville community. For almost 20 years he was also a professional mediator. He founded the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution which – according to U.S. News. – has been the nation’s number program in the that field for the last 30 years. Dr. Lowry has taught\, provided professional training or mediated on six continents. While committed to higher education\, he is passionate about the resolution of conflict and reconciliation between people.\nTo learn more about Lowry and his work with Tennessee Resettlement Aid and as a “settlement consultant” with Lanier Law Firm\, visit the Franklin Tomorrow website\, www.franklintomorrow.org.\nBreakfast With the Mayors begins at 7 a.m. with a 45-minute networking breakfast provided by Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant and coffee provided by Lyon Leadership Group\, the local operator of McDonald’s.\nBreakfast With the Mayors is presented by our co-presenting partners\, Pinnacle Financial Partners and Gresham Smith.
