$2,000 donated to High Hopes Development Center by Battlefield Region Antique Automobile Club of America

The Battlefield Region of AACA was founded by antique car preservation enthusiast, Bob Hale (1934-2012), as the first AACA club in Franklin, Tennessee.  This club is not only about sharing a love for cars, it is also about sharing a love for the community. The Battlefield Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) has donated $2000 to High Hopes Development Center, an inclusive preschool and pediatric therapy clinic located in Franklin, Tennessee.

High Hopes will use these funds, provided by the The Battlefield Region AACA, for ongoing programs and services provided to children in Middle Tennessee. These dollars will make a significant difference in the lives of children and youth served by High Hopes, primarily those with special needs.

High Hopes gives children of all intellectual, physical, and mental abilities the opportunity to learn and grow together in an environment that provides a strong foundation for future academic and social success.

Established in 1984, High Hopes Development Center is a non-profit organization that helps children and youth reach their maximum potential through two integrated programs.  Children with and without special needs are educated together in age-appropriate preschool classrooms while an on-site therapy clinic allows children with special needs to receive their required therapy services during their school day. High Hopes is truly unique in the way that children with and without special needs such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and various developmental delays play, learn, and grow together every day.   The Hoover Therapy Clinic at High Hopes provides occupational, speech, physical and feeding therapies to children from birth to 21 years.  Children with over 50 different diagnoses are learning to walk, talk, dress and feed themselves on a daily basis thanks to the friendship and support of the community.  Children with and without special needs from six weeks to Pre-K are educated and nurtured in age-appropriate inclusive classrooms at the Thompson Preschool at High Hopes.  Children receive educational instruction and nurturing while learning that we are all different, and that being different is okay.  High Hopes gives children of all intellectual, physical and mental abilities the opportunity to learn and grow together in an environment that provides a strong foundation for future academic and social success. The mission of High Hopes Development Center is to equip children, youth, and their families with the skills necessary to achieve success through education, therapeutic services, and loving support.
