ADULT AND YOUTH ATHLETIC PROGRAMS OFFERED AT LOCAL RECREATION FACILITIES
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s (WCPR) Athletics Division hosts a variety of adult and youth athletic programs, including clinics, leagues and tournaments. With options ranging from traditional programs like basketball, soccer, and tennis to newer sports like pickle ball; we offer an assortment of opportunities for all sport enthusiasts.
Registration is currently available for an adult, D2 Basketball League that will begin play in mid-October at the Academy Park Gymnasium, 120 Everbright Ave., in Franklin. League play will take place on Tuesday evenings with games scheduled between 6-10 p.m. League fees are $500 per team; or $55 per player for a free agent.
Registration for Winter Sessions of tennis clinics for youth and adults is now open. An assortment of instructional programs will be offered in a variety of skill levels from beginner to advanced players. The clinic session will begin the week and October 18 and continue through mid-December. Indoor and outdoor clinic options are available, and all clinics are taught by USTA professionals.
And, registration for a new Youth Winter Soccer League for children ages 7-14 will open on October 1, 2021. League play will be broken down into age divisions for U8-U14. Games will be played at the Indoor Arena at Crockett Park at 1485 Volunteer Parkway, in Brentwood.

SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS OFFERED AT LOCAL RECREATION FACILITIES
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) hosts a variety of programs at recreation centers across Williamson County for seniors of all ages and activity levels including art, fitness, nature and sport programs; as well as, social activities and day trips.
Two, new Senior Fitness programs begin in October including a Saturday Senior Boot Camp program at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., starting October 9; and an Essentrics Stretch and Tone program on Mondays at the Bethesda Recreation Center, 4907 Bethesda Rd., in Thompson’s Station starting October 4 and at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave, in Franklin starting Tuesday, October 5. Another new program, Cooking with Karen, begins in October at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., and features individual sessions on cooking with an Instant Pot® and making homemade pasta and sauce.

THERAPEUTICS FALL FESTIVAL COMING IN OCTOBER
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s (WCPR) Therapeutics Division hosts a variety of recreation programs on an ongoing basis for children, adolescents, young adults and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
One of the most popular programs, is our annual Fall Festival and Hayride. Scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.; this yearly event, for ages 14 and up, will feature a group hayride, dinner and dance with a DJ. Grab your dancing shoes and join us for a fun night with friends. Cost is only $15 per participant. This is a P.A.L.S. program (People At Leisure with Support), and a caregiver is required to stay with those needing assistance. *Caregivers are asked to register and pay if planning to eat.
