Franklin Tomorrow will host its monthly FrankTalks lecture on Monday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the ballroom of The Harpeth Hotel in downtown Franklin, with a focus on tourism assets in our county as a kickoff to National Travel & Tourism Week.
Our topic will be “More Than a Vacation: Why Tourism Matters.” Our coffee social will begin at 9 a.m. with light refreshments, followed by the program starting at 9:30 a.m.
Justin Foster, general manager of The Harpeth Hotel, will give details on the hotel and its events and programs. Then, Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau CEO Maureen Thornton and her staff will discuss how tourism benefits local residents, as well as offering insight to what pulls tourists to visit Franklin and Williamson County. Also during the presentation, there will be contests and prizes for those participating, including the chance to win two, two-day general admission passes to Pilgrimage Music Festival, Sept. 23-24, at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. You must be present to win this prize.
Parking will be in the free City garage on Second Avenue as well as the garage adjacent to The Harpeth Hotel with limited availability of free parking in that facility.
FrankTalks is presented monthly in partnership with Renasant Bank and Franklin Tomorrow’s sustaining partners, Atmos Energy and Williamson Health.
