Get MOVE’n 5K Disco Dash: Celebrating Five Years of Inclusion and Community

Nashville, TN – On May 3, 2025, the Nashville community is invited to lace up their running shoes and don their grooviest attire for the fifth annual Get MOVE’n 5K Disco Dash. This event, benefiting MOVE Inclusive Dance, celebrates five years of fostering inclusion and community spirit, making a significant impact on dancers of all abilities.

Since its inception, the Get MOVE’n 5K has grown exponentially, attracting participants from all walks of life who gather to support MOVE Inclusive Dance, a nonprofit dedicated to providing dance opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities. The event not only raises crucial funds but also raises awareness about the importance of inclusion in the arts.

“Every year, we’ve seen our community grow stronger and more diverse,” says Lauren Morris, founder of MOVE Inclusive Dance. “The Disco Dash is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of what makes our community unique and vibrant.”

Participants can look forward to the 5K race commencing at 8:00 am, followed by awards and a special performance by the MOVE Inclusive dancers at 9:15 am. Those unable to participate in the race can still join the festivities by purchasing a general admission ticket to enjoy the performance and support the cause. Families can enjoy the Kids Zone, featuring games and activities designed to entertain and engage young attendees, making it a perfect outing for all ages.
