The Refuge Center Announces 5th Annual Golf Invitational

The Refuge Center for Counseling will host their 5th Annual Golf Invitational, Monday, September 8, 2025, at Westhaven Golf Course in Franklin, Tennessee. This year’s title sponsor will be Atmos Energy. Now in its fifth year, this event brings together golf enthusiasts, community leaders, and supporters of mental health initiatives for a day on the greens- raising critical funds for The Refuge Center’s counseling programs. This tournament is one of the primary avenues through which Refuge raises the funds to serve over 4200 kids, teens, adults, couples and families through more than 41,000 counseling sessions each year. This is all done on a sliding scale based on annual income so everyone has access to the same excellent, accessible, and affordable counseling services regardless of socio-economic status.

The tournament welcomes both individual players and teams, offering a fantastic chance to network with others while supporting mental health services. Participants will enjoy a morning of golf, on-course contests, prizes, and a post-round lunch buffet and awards reception. For more info, you can go to refugecenter.org/golf

This year’s title sponsor is Atmos Energy. Manager of Public Affairs for Atmos Energy, Christina Christiansen, says, “As part of our Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities program, Atmos Energy is deeply honored to continue our partnership with The Refuge Center to expand access to vital mental health support. By sponsoring the 5th Annual Golf Invitational, we’re bringing together our people, resources, and a shared passion to ensure that every individual and family in Williamson County — regardless of socio-economic status — can access life-changing therapy. This collaboration underscores Atmos Energy’s commitment to fostering stronger, healthier communities and exemplifies how community and corporate leadership can unite to create lasting impact.”

Director of Annual Giving at Refuge, Brodrick Thomas adds, “While making a difference is never easy, this event offers the rare chance to change lives while enjoying a day of golf at a top course. Every participant and sponsor in our tournament creates access to a wide variety of life-changing therapeutic techniques administered by over 70+ therapists, each one bringing essential healing to the people, families, and communities of Middle Tennessee.”
