What is your business and why did you start your business?

It was Scott and Todd’s shared passion for sports, and an understanding of the injuries that come with them, that led them to the field of physical therapy. They opened the first Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists clinic in 2003 in Huntsville, Alabama.  In 2005 a second location was opened in Madison, AL. The Franklin location opened in June 2017, located at 740 Cool Springs Boulevard, Suite 215.

David Jennings, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC

Johnson & Hayes decided to open a 3rd clinic to bring a personal touch to physical therapy in Franklin, TN. They hired David Jennings, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC, to oversee their Franklin clinic in January 2017 after hearing him speak on concussions during a Tennessee Physical Therapy Association meeting. Jennings was the first physical therapist to complete the sports physical therapy residency offered in a joint venture between Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute and Belmont University. He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Prior to physical therapy school Jennings worked as an athletic trainer for several years at LSU while earning a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and at Vanderbilt University, working with the track and field and cross-country teams. Jennings has also spent time in the NFL working with the Tennessee Titans during physical therapy school.  He graduated from Belmont University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy before entering the sports physical therapy residency program.
