Nothing Bundt Cakes: Lynne Warne
This week we sat down with Lynne Warne, owner of Nothing Bundt Cakes. If you’ve been to a Williamson, Inc. ribbon cutting – you’ve more than likely tried her delicious Bundtinis. Lynne graciously donates Bundtinis to any Williamson, Inc. ribbon cutting.
How has being a part of the overall business community in Williamson County helped you?
It’s been a blessing to be part of such a vibrant community. We own three of these bakeries, and Williamson county is our best location. It’s a shopping/retail and corporate center that draws from a wide area.
Why did you choose to become a member of Williamson, Inc.? How has your membership benefited you?
It never crossed our minds NOT to join Williamson, Inc! We appreciate all the programs as well as the ability to give our cakes to all new members holding a ribbon cutting or grand opening event. It’s a win-win: we are able to support another local business and also get “cake in mouths” (our #1 marketing strategy)!
Tell us a little about yourself. (Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? ETC.)
I grew up on a crop and hog farm in rural Minnesota with 3 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. My husband and I moved our family to Nashville in 2006 after living in Dallas for 8 years. We love it here!
How and why did you first get started with your company?
I never had dreams or aspirations of being an entrepreneur. Even when my husband was looking to invest in a business and suggested Nothing Bundt Cakes, i thought he was nuts! But all you have to do is taste the cakes and you understand the appeal. The cakes are so moist and delicious. People truly crave them. We opened the Nashville Nothing Bundt cakes in 2011, the one here in Franklin in 2012, and in Murfreesboro in 2017.
Who should take advantage of your services?
Anyone who needs a treat should consider us! Our cakes our perfect for a personal indulgence, birthdays, weddings, host/hostess gifts, cocktail parties and more. We make gifting sweet and easy for the holidays too, with the ability to deliver boxed or decorated cakes with company logos and personalized message cards.
What sets you apart from the rest?
I’d put our cakes (and the yummy cream cheese frosting) up against any other cake. It tastes that good — plus it has a lot longer shelf life than other cakes due to the natural moisturizing ingredients we use and other steps we take to lock-in the freshness.
