CONCERTGOERS ENCOURAGED TO SAVE LIVES BY DONATING BLOOD AT LIFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 27, 2021) – Blood Assurance is asking Lifest attendees to consider saving lives by donating blood during this week’s family-friendly music festival at Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee.
A bloodmobile will be on-site all three days of Lifest Music City, which is one of the nation’s largest Christian music festivals and is being held July 29-31.
“We felt Blood Assurance would be a perfect fit for our event,” according to Brenda Willis, the Lifest backstage hospitality leader. “I needed two units of blood to save my life during an emergency C-section. I am incredibly thankful someone donated blood that saved my life. I am excited to give back and donate blood at Lifest!”
Donors can give blood this Thursday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The bloodmobile will be located in the venue’s marketplace next to the food trucks.
Individuals who wish to donate are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at bloodassurance.org/lifest. Walk-ins are also welcome.
All donors will receive a special Lifest t-shirt, free snacks and cold beverages. More fun prizes can be found at the Blood Assurance information booth.
To be eligible to donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health. Donors are asked to drink plenty of fluids — avoiding caffeine — and eat a meal that is rich in iron prior to donating.
