A Texas-based lender that makes about $2.5 billion in loans annually has opened its first Tennessee office on Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood.
Colonial National Mortgage has set up shop at 783 Old Hickory, just east of Interstate 65, and is being led locally by Sales Manager Rodney Terry, who joined the company after working at Mortgage Solutions Financial and imortgage, among others. He reports to Regional Manager James Nichols, who earlier this year set up a Colonial outpost in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Also on the team locally are lenders Cheryl Brown, James Hammonds and Gene Stevens as well as Loan Processor Glenda Hampton. A company spokesman said their goal for 2017 will be to originate $50 million in loans before growing that number to more than $60 million as they grow their team. If things go well, executives with parent company Colonial Savings will look to open other offices in Tennessee.
Colonial Savings was launched in 1952 and now runs eight offices in the Dallas region as well a range of lending and insurance businesses. The company has customers in all 50 states and services a loan portfolio of $26 billion.
