Policy Talks to Feature Public School Superintendents and Columbia State Community College Announcement

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Williamson, Inc. will host the next installment of its Policy Talks series on Friday, May 30, featuring a conversation with the leaders of Williamson County’s two public school systems. The program, held at Columbia State Community College’s Building A community room, will be the final edition before the series pauses for the summer months of June and July.

Coffee and networking begin at 7:30am, with the one-hour program, moderated by Dave Crouch, starting at 8:00am. Policy Talks is a free community event.

The panel will spotlight Dr. David Snowden, Superintendent of Franklin Special District (FSD), and Jason Golden, Superintendent of Williamson County Schools (WCS), who will reflect on the 2024–2025 academic year, highlight key accomplishments, and provide a look ahead at what’s in store for their respective districts.

As a special addition to Policy Talks, Columbia State President Dr. Janet Smith will announce and introduce the new lead administrator for the college’s Williamson Campus upon conclusion of the program.

“The upcoming edition of Policy Talks shines a much-deserved spotlight on this county’s economic and community bedrock, our exemplary K–12 public school systems,” said Kel McDowell, Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Partnerships at Williamson, Inc. “We’re also excited that our wonderful hosts and partners at Columbia State will use this platform to share this important announcement about the future leadership of the Williamson Campus.”
