Announces 2025 Live Intentionally Event

[FRANKLIN, TN- Tuesday, January 14] – The Refuge Center for Counseling, a local non-profit serving over 4000 clients a year, is excited to announce its annual “Live Intentionally” Speaker Series for February 2025: Life Out of Control – No One is Beyond Saving. This event will take place at Church of the City in Franklin, TN on February 14 from 8am-12pm.
This year’s installment of the Live Intentionally speaker series will focus on addictions and addictive behaviors across the board. The goal of the day is to emphasize that no one is beyond saving.
The day’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Stephen Loyd, Chief Medical Officer at Cedar Recovery, an opioid addiction treatment center with locations across Tennessee. With a variety of positions across both state and federal governments, he is currently the chair of the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council. He has also been in opioid recovery since 2004. He served as the inspiration behind Michael Keaton’s character in the Emmy Award-winning series “Dopesick” on Hulu. The morning will feature both nationally known and local speakers covering the topics of social media and technology addiction, eating disorders, sexual addictions, gambling addiction, addiction psychiatry and opiate addiction/recovery.
Tickets are priced at $35 and will include entrance to the event, three (3) Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and a light breakfast. After February 1, ticket prices will be increased to $50. Tickets can be purchased at refugecenter.org/events
