Williamson, Inc. Launches Small Business Academy to Empower Local Owners

Williamson County, is excited to announce the launch of the Small Business Academy. This initiative is designed to support and educate small business owners, addressing key challenges and fostering growth within the business community.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, comprising over 90% of Williamson, Inc.’s membership. They play a crucial role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and enhancing our quality of life. At Williamson, Inc., we are committed to supporting these entrepreneurs and empowering them to thrive in our diverse business environment,” said Matt Largen, President and CEO of Williamson, Inc.
The Small Business Academy is the culmination of feedback from small business owners who serve on Williamson, Inc.’s Small Business Council. These council members shape the Academy’s programming to ensure it meets the specific needs of Williamson County’s small business ecosystem.

The Small Business Academy kicks off on August 9th at the Williamson, Inc. office. This series will feature monthly sessions covering a wide range of topics, including customer advocacy, financing strategies, business problem solving, marketing on a budget, and social media trends.
The schedule for the Small Business Academy is as follows:
- August 9: Creating Super Fans: How to Turn Your Customers into Lifelong Advocates, featuring Brittany Hodak, Author.
- September 13: Financing to Run and Scale Your Business, featuring a panel of bankers from Republic Bank, Pinnacle Bank, and Studio Bank.
- October 11: Step by Step Process for Effective Business Problem Solving, featuring Dr. Jeff Cornwall, Co-founder of The Entrepreneurial Mind and professor emeritus of entrepreneurship at Belmont University.
- November 8: Marketing on a Small Business Budget, featuring Ahsan, President of AlphaGraphics Brentwood and Small Business Council member.
- December 13: Latest Trends in Social Media.
Each session will run from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with structured networking and presentation. The events will be held at the Williamson, Inc. office, accommodating up to 55 attendees per session. The cost of attendance is $20 per ticket and includes lunch.
