Youth Leadership Brentwood Scholarships Awarded

Six Williamson, Inc.Youth Leadership Brentwood graduates will be awarded scholarships at the Williamson, Inc. State of the County Address on July 24 at the Franklin Marriott Conference Center.

The scholarship recipients are Sarah Reidy, Lauren Shepard, Hyungtaek Shin and Jack Westin, seniors at Ravenwood High School; Namrah Ajmal a Brentwood High School senior; and Jonah Franks, senior at Brentwood Academy.

Youth Leadership Brentwood is a program of the Williamson County Chamber Foundation, the nonprofit affiliate of Williamson, Inc. The program is an intensive learning and networking opportunity for sophomores and juniors in Williamson County.

 Businesses and community groups support the Chamber leadership programs for both adults and youth. The student scholarships were supported this year by sponsor funds allocated through the Youth Leadership Brentwood and Leadership Brentwood Steering Boards, Leadership Brentwood Alumni Association, and parents of students who have previously participated in Youth Leadership Brentwood.

Brentwood Academy was the Presenting Sponsor for the Youth Leadership Brentwood Class of 2019. Supporting sponsors include Avintus, Brentwood Rotary Foundation, H.G. Hill Realty Company, Hytch, Insbank, Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation, Uncle Classic Barbershop, YMCA of Middle Tennessee and WSP USA.

Applications for the Class of 2020 Youth Leadership Brentwood program will be available online in August at www.williamsonchamber.com. The program year for the 2020 class will kick off in late October.
