Deviate Founder and CEO Honored at Awards Ceremony at Western Michigan University

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., – October 23, 2017 – Ryan Blanck, founder and chief executive officer of Deviate, a leadership company specializing in performance coaching, is the recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award on behalf of Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. Blanck was honored on October 13th at an awards ceremony for distinguished alumni and friends held during Homecoming Week in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was recognized for serving as an inspiration for students and exemplifying the college’s values.

“Ryan Blanck is the epitome of what the Haworth College of Business Outstanding Young Alumni Award is all about—young business professionals achieving success and impacting the business world in significant ways,” says Satish Deshpande, interim dean, Haworth College of Business, Western Michigan University. “We are proud to count Ryan as one of our most accomplished young alumni and are excited to follow his future success.”

The Haworth College of Business Outstanding Young Alumni Award honors alumni under 40 who have distinguished themselves as successful business professionals within their fields or industries. The award was established in 2011 as a way to recognize the talent and vision of recent graduates of the Haworth College of Business.

Blanck and his team at Deviate have helped organizations rebound from turmoil, saved rock bands from breaking up, helped grow careers of today’s cultural icons and executives, advised a successful foreign presidential campaign, coached professional athletes throughout their careers and transition to retirement and helped startups scale. The common denominator in the firm’s work is always the same: develop healthy leaders worth following and build cultures people genuinely want to join.

Blanck has been a guest leadership educator at Penn State University and Stanford University’s business leadership program. Blanck graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in business and currently serves as a member of the Young Alumni Advisory Board for the Haworth College of Business. In 2016, Blanck received the inaugural SigEp 40 Under 40 national award for his leadership on behalf of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternal organization.
