The Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association is here to help

While the COVID-19 pandemic threatens the health of millions in this country and around the world, the novel coronavirus presents unique challenges for more than 120,000 Tennesseeans living with Alzheimer’s disease and the 444,000 people who serve as their unpaid caregivers.

Most notably, public health strategies aimed at limiting contact with others is nearly impossible for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, who rely on family caregivers and others to carry out day-to-day activities.

The Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association is here to help families take the necessary measures to prepare for and cope with such extraordinary circumstances. For a full list of COVID-19 caregiver tips, visit alz.org/COVID19 or call the Association’s free, 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900 to speak with a trained, masters-level clinician.
