FrankTown Open Hearts board adds three members
NASHVILLE, TENN. (April 12, 2021) — FrankTown Open Hearts announced recently the addition of three new members to its board of directors.
Chris Barnhill, FrankTown executive director, recently announced the addition of Kim Chaudoin, Sandra Dinkins and Elaine Sandefur to the organization’s board. All three are residents of Williamson County.
“We are blessed to have added three talented new board members to our team, and I am truly looking forward to working with them over the next three years,” said Barnhill.
Franktown Open Hearts is a nonprofit ministry in Franklin, Tennessee, that spiritually, emotionally, and physically enhances the lives of at-risk youth through mentoring and equipping them with life skills, offering spiritual development and academic tutoring services. Through hands-on programming, the organization seeks to inspire confident, empowered young adults to lead fulfilled lives.
The organization is known for supporting families through its car giveaway program, annual Christmas Shopping Event, meal program and more. It also hosts the annual FrankTown Festival of Lights in Franklin among other activities and events.
Chaudoin is assistant vice president of publication and communication at Lipscomb University and brings expertise in the area of marketing, communication and public relations to the board. She and her family have attended Otter Creek Church of Christ in Brentwood for two decades, and she believes in “the ability of Christian education to transform lives.”
Dinkins is the founder and director of Resurgence Life Skills Institute, a Brentwood-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering area youth and adults through life skills training. She also serves as a mediator in Williamson and Davidson counties. A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dinkins has served as a volunteer with FrankTown for a number of years.
Sandefur is a senior vice president in the information technology department at HCA. A member of Franklin Christian Church, Sandefur is dedicated to the FrankTown mission and the service of the community. “I believe that we are called to help, support and provide for others and to be a light to others,” she said. “This is what God calls us to do.”
