Williamson, Inc. announces Update Williamson speakers to include county mayor, school superintendents, multiple CEOs, local small business owners, and former Tennessee Titan football player, food trucks available on-site

Update Williamson: Our Schools, Our Economy, Our County will be held on October 20, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. CT at the Field at Franklin (1810 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064).

There is something for everyone at Williamson, Inc.’s first large-scale in-person event since COVID-19, Update Williamson. The interactive event is designed to highlight how the Williamson County economy is resilient and uniquely suited to prosper in a post-COVID economy. Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson will provide his annual State of the County address and Williamson County Schools Superintendent Jason Golden and Franklin Special School District Superintendent David Snowden will provide their yearly State of the Schools address. Additional speakers include:

  • Keith Bulluck, Owner, Just Love Coffee Café- McEwen
  • Brendan Kamm, Co-Founder & CEO, Thnks
  • Chris Cochran, CEO, Freightwise, Inc.
  • Lacy Beasley, President, Retail Strategies
  • Misty Woodford, Williamson County Association of Relators (WCAR)
  • Site Location Consultant Shannon O’Hare, Senior Managing Director, Cushman and Wakefield
  • Tom Atema, Owner & CEO, AP Live
  • Bob Rolfe, Commissioner of the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development

Onsite entry for the event will open at 8:00 A.M. CT, giving attendees time to purchase refreshments from local food trucks including Franklin Bakehouse, Cracker Barrel and Juice Bar.  The program begins at 9am and attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and sit outside of their cars for the duration of the event.

 

Tractor Supply Company CEO Hall Lawton will discuss the company’s recent moves to support their team members during the pandemic and what the future holds for one of Williamson County’s best corporate citizens and largest employers.

 

Keith Bulluck, former Tennessee Titan and owner of Just Love Coffee Café- McEwen, will speak on the process of opening a business during a pandemic. Bulluck’s Just Love Coffee Café location is one of the many businesses at the newest mixed-use development in Williamson County, McEwen Northside.

 

Tom Atema, Owner & CEO, AP Live, will discuss how he has used innovation and vision to turn his national business model into a unique, successful, local business. In addition to Atema, Misty Woodford of WCAR will discuss local residential real estate trends and forecast.

 

Nationally recognized site location consultant Shannon O’Hare will talk about what communities like Williamson County can expect over the next few years for company relocations and expansions. Brendan Kamm, CEO of Thnks, will discuss the company’s recent headquarter relocation to Williamson County with Williamson, Inc. Director of Business Development, Nathan Zipper. Zipper will also moderate a conversation with Chris Cochran, CEO, Freightwise, Inc. Freightwise was recognized in 2019 and again in 2020 by Inc. 5000 for being one of the fastest growing companies not just in the state of Tennessee but in the country.

 

Lacy Beasley, President of Retail Strategies, will be close the event as she provides research and perspective on the way we will shop and eat in the future.
